Blackmore Youth Theatre
Are you interested in acting & the theatre?
Are you aged between 7 & 16 years?
Would you like to make new friends and have some fun?
Then why not join us………
Our youth theatre is designed to be welcoming and friendly, whoever you are, no matter whether you’ve done lots of drama or if it’s all a bit new to you.
The aim of The Blackmore Youth Theatre is to encourage younger members to take an active role in the performing side of the theatre. Members have the opportunity to take part in specific workshops in theatre techniques including acting, singing & dancing. We also try to encourage our members to participate in other areas of the theatre including working backstage, lighting, sound and production design.
You will get the opportunity to perform in a musical show in July and other showcases throughout the year.
The Blackmore Youth Theatre is ideal for those who enjoy performing and want to learn more about acting, singing and dancing. It is a place to experiment, imagine, and explore your own ideas. During weekly sessions you don’t just learn how to act, but also how to work as a team, improvise and create brilliant stories. You’ll feel more confident and make loads of friends, we promise!
We meet on a Friday from 5.30pm to 7.00pm (term times only).
Members are expected to show commitment and regular attendance at classes is a condition of membership.
Fully qualified teachers/DBS checked & Licensed Chaperone.
