The 40th Exmouth Amateur Festival of One Act Plays as part of The All England Theatre Festival 2019 (Western Division)

SPONSORED BY THE DEVONCOURT RESORT (Exmouth)

This is an opportunity for those drama groups who have entered the 2019 Festival to perform their One Act Plays in front of a professional adjudicator.

The Running Order with times has now been announced.  Please see below:

Monday 8th April

7.30pm:  MEZZALCHEMY presents “Arbeit Macht Frei” by Paul King

8.35pm:  THE EXMOUTH PLAYERS present “A Miracle On Callous Street” by Jake Taviner

9.25pm:  ADJUDICATION

Tuesday 9th April

7.30pm:  MEZZAMORPHOSES presents “Sinister Secrets At Halcyon Hall” by Deryn Tirion

8.15pm:  THE EXMOUTH PLAYERS present “Drekly” by Sam Parker

9.10pm:  ADJUDICATION

Wednesday 10th April

7.30pm:  SIDMOUTH AMATEUR DRAMATIC SOCIETY – YOUTH GROUP presents “The Sentinels” by Matthew Lopez

8.25pm:  AXMINSTER DRAMA CLUB presents “Charitable Giving” by Simon Hurst

9.20pm:  ADJUDICATION

Thursday 11th April

7.30pm:  SIDMOUTH AMATEUR DRAMATIC SOCIETY – JUNIOR GROUP presents “The Juniper Tree” by Philip Pullman adapted by Philip Wilson

8.20pm:  SALTERTON DRAMA CLUB presents “Temptation Sordid Or Virtue Rewarded” by Winifred Phelps

9.05pm:  ADJUDICATION

Friday 12th April

7.30pm:  A Presentation by our Adjudicator, Ian Sarginson GoDA  *

8.25pm:  THE EXMOUTH PLAYERS present “After Midnight – Before Dawn” by David Campton

9.25pm:  ADJUDICATION

Saturday 13th April

7.00pm:  STAGECRAFT present “End of Tomorrows” by Alan Smith

7.45pm:  TEIGNMOUTH PLAYERS present “Nuts” by Jefrey G Pirie

8.40pm:  ADJUDICATION

9.20pm:  PRESENTATION OF AWARDS

WARNING:  Some of these Productions may contain some strong language or may not be otherwise suitable for some members of the audience or under 12’s

The Running Order and Times may be subject to change

There are various cups and trophies awarded for best performance, best actor, youth performances, best original script and so on.  Only Season Ticket holders attending all the performances throughout the week will be able to vote on who they think should receive the various awards.

Adults:  £10 (per evening) – Season Tickets (for all 12 plays) £50

Under 16’s:  £6 – Season Tickets £30

Theatre Box Office opens daily from Monday 1st April between the hours of 9.30am and 1.00pm (except Sundays).

During the week of the Festival, the Theatre doors will be open from 6.45pm to enable collection of tickets from the front desk.  The Theatre bar will also be open from this time.  You will be able to pre-order your interval drinks at this time.
