The 39th Exmouth Amateur Festival of One Act Plays as part of The All England Theatre Festival 2018 (Western Division)
This is an opportunity for those drama groups who may enter the 2018 Festival to perform their One Act Plays in front of a professional adjudicator.
Work has already started on planning for the 2018 Festival. Some drama groups have already chosen their plays they wish to enter and others have yet to decide.
In 2017, we witnessed a variety of plays entered by Mezzalchemy, Teignmouth Players, Ottery Community Theatre, Axminster Drama Club, Mezzamorphoses, The Exmouth Players, Sid Vale, SADS Youth and SADS Juniors, TIPPS, Exeter Little Theatre Company and Salterton Drama Club.
Both the Salterton Drama Club with their presentation of “Brenton by Brenton” by David Tristram, and Mezzamorphoses, with their presentation of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Part One) by William Shakespeare, went through to the regional Quarter-Finals, with the Salterton Drama Club making it through to the regional Semi-Finals before being knocked out of The All England Theatre Festival 2017 by only a few points in it.
There are various cups and trophies awarded for best performance, best actor, youth performances, best original script and so on. Only Season Ticket holders attending all the performances throughout the week will be able to vote on who they think should receive the various awards.
This page will be updated as soon as we have any further information, including details of the entrants and their play, the adjudicator and tickets.
