The 39th Exmouth Amateur Festival of One Act Plays as part of The All England Theatre Festival 2018 (Western Division)

This is an opportunity for those drama groups who may enter the 2018 Festival to perform their One Act Plays in front of a professional adjudicator.

The Running Order with times have now been announced.  Please see below:

Monday 9th April

7.30pm:  MEZZALCHEMY presents “The Thousand and One Nights” by Paul King

8.25pm:  THE EXMOUTH PLAYERS present “Plaster” by Richard Harris

9.00pm:  MEZZAMORPHOSES present “Oedipus” by Paul King


Tuesday 10th April

7.30pm:  SALTERTON DRAMA CLUB presents “Space Tour: Into Knoware” by Daniel Rhys Hill  (Warning:  This Play contains Adult Humour)

8.45pm:  THE EXMOUTH PLAYERS present “Memoires of War” by Jake Taviner


Wednesday 11th April

7.30pm:  TIPTON PLAY AND PANTOMIME SOCIETY present “The Allotment” by Gillian Plowman

8.35pm:  EXTON DRAMA GROUP presents “Last Tango At Little Grimley” by David Tristam


Thursday 12th April

7.30pm:  SIDMOUTH AMATEUR DRAMATIC SOCIETY (YOUTH) present “Bad Reception” by Paul Vincent

8.20pm:  BROADCLYST THEATRE GROUP presents “The Molecule Duplicator” by John Gregory


Friday 13th April

7.30pm:  OTTERY COMMUNITY THEATRE presents “The Knitting Circle” by Jill Machin

8.20pm:  THE EXMOUTH PLAYERS present “On The Seventh Day” by Alan Smith  (Warning:  This Play contains Religious Content which may cause offence)

9.15pm:  OTTERY COMMUNITY THEATRE presents “The Mayfair Brothers” by Steve Chapman


Saturday 14th April

7.00pm:  SIDMOUTH AMATEUR DRAMATIC SOCIETY (JUNIORS) present “The Rebels of Gas Street” by Jan Needle




Adjudicator:  Sonia Woolley.


WARNING:  Some of these Productions may contain some strong language or may not be otherwise suitable for some members of the audience or under 12’s

The Running Order and Times may be subject to change

There are various cups and trophies awarded for best performance, best actor, youth performances, best original script and so on.  Only Season Ticket holders attending all the performances throughout the week will be able to vote on who they think should receive the various awards.

SATURDAY 14th APRIL AND ALL SEASON TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD OUT.  Tickets for all the remaining performances continue to sell fast.  Tuesday evening’s performances have better ticket availability than the other available evening’s performances.  Please click here for ticket sales update.
